Wrought Iron Chefs Knife

This one is a san mai build. It's a wrought iron clad blade with a 1095 core.  The blade is 7.75", and the overall length is a little over 12.25".   The handle material is ebony.  The heel of the blade measures at a little under 2", so you have plenty of knuckle room when you rock the knife.  The distal taper of the blade gives you an excellent cut and slice, and it makes the knife much lighter than you'd expect.

I love the look of the wrought iron when it's cleaned up and etched. The texture of it looks almost like sinew. 

*The cutting edge is sharpened at a 20°.

**This knife comes with a hand tooled sheath made from 7-8oz leather.
