Kukri

I forge this kukri from a bearing race, making the steel 52100.  The blade is a little under 12", and the overall length is about 16.5".  The handle material is micarta--fabric that's soaked in resin, and then cured under pressure.  

This kukri has a bit of weigh to it, and it uses it to carry through what you're chopping. (It's no wonder why the Gurkhas carry them into battle.)

*The cutting edge is sharpened at a 30°.

**This knife comes with a sheath made from 7-8oz leather.
