Go Mai Chefs Knife

This chefs knife is one you pull out when the in-laws come over. It is beautiful. 

The hand forged go mai blade is a little over 8.5", and the overall length is almost 14.25". The balance is almost perfect. The handle is spalted tamarind and the end cut from a black ash burl. 

This size of this chefs knife is a bit misleading. It looks like it has some weight to it, but it's surprisingly light. It's a little over 6oz, a tad bit heavier than my fillet knives. You can use this blade all day and your hand won't get tired. 

*The cutting edge is sharpened at a 20°.
