Damascus Clip Point

This 6.5" blade was forged from canister Damascus.  The cocobolo handle gives the knife an overall length of 11".

A few years ago, I got a bunch of chainsaw chains from a Marine brother of mine who owns a tree removal company out in Oregon.  I cut up a few and threw them in a canister with some powered 1090 and nickel spring steel.  No idea what to expect for a pattern, I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled the blade from the acid.

With every single hunting or EDC knife I make, I test the tip.  I have a chunk of wood I stab the blade into and then rock it back and forth.  If the tip snaps, it gets tossed off to the side.  This knife survived.  You can comfortably pop a pelvic with this knife and not have to worry about losing the tip.

*The cutting edge is sharpened at a 25°.
