Camp Chopper

I forged this beast from a roller bearing, making the steel 52100.  The blade is a little over 7.5" long, and it has a 1/4" spine.  The handle is purple heart, and it has an overall length  of 12.5".

This beast will make easy work of most anything you can put to it.

I leave the wood handles with a natural finish using beeswax and mineral oil. Handles with some kind of varnish slip and slide with the slightest of moisture. Mine have no varnish, which means you can actually hold onto it when it gets wet.

*The cutting edge is sharpened at a 30°.

**This comes with a scout carry sheath made of 7-8oz leather.
