I forged this one from a 1937 Ford leaf spring. This knife will take a beating and then ask for more. The blade measures in at a little under 6.75", and the elk antler handle gives an overall length of almost 11.75".
With every single hunting or EDC knife I make, I test the tip. I have a chunk of maple I stab the blade into and then rock it back and forth. If the tip snaps, it gets tossed off to the side. This knife survived. I do this because I believe every hunting knife, even little guys like this one, should be able to pop the pelvic on a deer without having to worry about looking this tip.
You'll do five deer before you start thinking about bringing out the whet stone.
*The cutting edge is sharpened at a 25°.
**This knife comes with a hand tooled 7-8oz leather sheath.
